Music Lesson Terms and Conditions

1. Schedule and lessons
A lesson is between 45-60 Minutes (Subject to teacher discretion) any parking or building valet fees will be paid by the customer.
Recurring weekly lessons will be paid in advance on the first lesson of the month.

2. Attendance
Please plan full attendance to all lessons and on the scheduled time.
I cannot guarantee a full lesson if the student arrives or is ready late. If I am running late, I will always give you a full lesson and will try to let you know beforehand that there is a delay.
All lessons will be confirmed on the day of the lesson. If a confirmation is not obtained via text or call it will be considered as a last-minute cancellation.

3. Cancellation Policy
In order to cancel or reschedule a lesson at no cost, you must provide at least 24 hours notice prior to the lesson. In case there is a “No show” for a lesson or if a notice has not been provided 24 hours prior to the lesson, the lesson will be charged in full and will not be refunded for any reason.

4. Rescheduling
To count as a rescheduling, the re-scheduled lesson must be given within
the same week, otherwise it will be treated as a cancellation and a credit for the lesson will not be given. I will always do everything I can to reschedule lessons within the same week but please remember I have a lot of students to see! If a lesson cannot be scheduled within the same week it will be considered as a cancellation.
If a regularly scheduled lesson happens to fall on a holiday, I will happily work to reschedule it for you, and is subject to my availability.

***Teacher cancellations will be made up or credited.

5. Parent or Guardian Participation
Parent or guardian presence and participation are important and strongly suggested for young students. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to assist students in their practice and motivate them to play daily.
They will be given instructions if needed, in order to best assist the student.
***Parents and guardians are welcome to observe lessons as long as they do not disturb the student or the conduct of the lesson.

6. Practice and Preparation
I recommend my students to practice 5-6 days a week.
A 5-10 minutes minimum is highly recommended and should be longer, the higher the level is. It is also crucial to practice with a metronome!
Students and their parents should feel free to contact me if they are having trouble with practicing or if they do not understand an assignment. I would rather know ahead of time so I can offer clarification or advice rather than finding out during the lesson.
It is recommended to have the instrument in tune, in order not to use up the lesson time.

***I reserve the right to cancel your enrollment if a payment is not made timely, or if there were two lessons last minute cancellation, or for any conduct that is rude, improper, or harmful.
Termination is effective on the date of notice. In this case, all fees paid are non-refundable and any unpaid fees are immediately due.
Two weeks notice is required prior to stopping lessons.
